Thank you for taking interest into how to become a clan member. The process is easy and will only take less than 5 minutes of your time.
Part of a online community requires that people get on with each other and respect people regardless of where they’re from or any thing else that could differentiate them from you. Maturity plays a major part in having fun and a screaming 9 year old constantly mic spamming is not welcome on the server...
We are looking for the following in a potential clan member (from most important to least important):

*Maturity - Good sportsmanship, good attitude, willingness to learn, and a sense of humor.
*Playing Skill - If you just started playing, you might want to wait a little bit. No offense.
*Special Skills - Frex: Master of a specific weapon, Good at teaching others, or Mapping.

The application proccess...

Follow the instructions below then make a topic by clicking the link below

1.) Play with us on a regular basis for a week or more. Or ten ours (according to HLSTATSX). Do not skip this step as it is crucial to your entry.

2.) If you have not already done so, sign up to use our forums using the forum registration form. A member of Government will then activate your account within 24 hours.

3.) Make a new thread, in the "How to Join - Clan Applications" section. As the subject of your post, use your in game player name in the title and include the following in your application....
a.The nickname(s)/screen name(s) you use whilst playing.
b. Your Steam username which people can use to add you to their friends list.
c. Your Steam ID. How do I find this?
d. Tell us about yourself... Where are you from, your interests, where you are at in life, etc... Introduce yourself to those who may not know you yet.
e. Tell us WHY you want to join the clan.
f. List the names of some current clan members who can vouch for your maturity, and to a certain extent, your playing skill.
g. Let us know which of our servers you play on regularly so that we can be looking for you.
h. Give us your hlstatsx player ID. For it go to HLSTATSX then search your name, and copy the url bar into your application.

After you have posted this, it will go on display for all forum members to read, including non clan members and this will enable regular visitors and clan members to get an idea of who you are and allow the word to be spread. Clan members can reply to your thread and give reasons on why or why not you should be in the clan.

The Vouching Process...

After your application has been posted, clan members can then vouch for you or choose not to but if members feel strong about something, it will be said. In order to become a clan member the following has to happen in light of your application...

Clan battle tryout

1: You MUST state in your application a suitable time and date you want your clan battle tryout (a few days notice will be fine). You then must state the server which you want the tryout on. The Server MUST be a Defectors clan server and YOU must have actively played on it for at least two weeks to show your keen to join us.

2. Once you have done this someone from the clan (or a group of us) will show up at your tryout. A Gov/ admin member will be present to view the event as well as a few clan members. If you are mature and friendly, you will improve your odds at entering the clan. If you are rude or disrespectful, you can forget any chance of ever getting into our clan!

3. After your clan battle tryout is complete, we will post the results in your topic. The clan will then privately discuss if we should let you in or not. If you are active on our servers and have got to know many of our members, then it should be easy for you to get in. If not then you should do so sooner rather than later if you really want to join our community.

If for what ever reason the tryout cant be done at the first time stated, please post in your application to organize a new date and time with notice.

After being accepted or denied...

When the discussion is complete, a Government member will mark your application as approved or denied.

If accepted, THEN you can add the :[ŦĐ]» tag to your in-game and steam nickname, and we welcome you to The Defectors.

If you’re Denied, you may reapply to the clan after a week to a month maximum, this is to give you time to understand why you where denied. You are still welcome to play on the server to win over other members or patch up loose ends.
